Father knows best!
At least that was the case on Tuesday night in New Martinsville, as longtime Magnolia High School baseball coach Dave Cisar's Blue Eagles got the best of son, Mark Cisar's Union Local Jets, 8-0.
The game was suspended in the top of the 5th inning, with two outs and one strike away from an official game. But lightning forced the umpires to call the game. It'll be finished on May 1, when the Blue Eagles make the trip to Morristown.
It was Mark Cisar's first trip home where he played football and baseball for his dad, and won two Kennedy Awards as the top football player in West Virginia in the early 90s.
Magnolia's Chandler Sapp allowed just one hit and struck out five in four-and-two third innings.
Freshman Chase Miller, Grant Cain and Tanner Hanna each drove in two runs. Hanna did something that's never happened in coach Cisar's 40 years of coaching. He squeezed home a run as a left-handed hitter.
