UPDATE: Traffic Reopens on Interstate 70 After Hazmat Situation

BARNESVILLE, Ohio -

UPDATE

Both lanes of Interstate 70 have reopened Wednesday morning.

Ohio State Highway Patrol said Mikhail Iuchik has been arrested and is currently in the Belmont County Jail for driving under the influence. Iuchik was driving the semi-truck owned by K.P. Express of Pennsylvania.

Crews from Zanesville will return to the scene of the accident around 8 a.m. Wednesday to clean up the remainder of diesel fuel, which could restrict traffic to one lane again.

Traffic is down to one lane on Interstate 70 West just past the Barnesville exit early Wednesday morning.

According to the Belmont County Sheriff's Office, a semi-truck accident caused a hazmat situation early Wednesday morning after diesel fuel spilled from the truck.

Crews from Zanesville are on the scene cleaning up the fuel.

There were no injuries and no other vehicles involved.
