    Grant County’s Spring Mountain Festival has a new venue. Typically hosted at Petersburg City Park, the 22nd annual Spring Mountain Festival will be at the Tri-County Fairgrounds. The festival takes place April 25-27 and will again feature bands, artisans, crafters, food and various other vendors.

The Concord University Theatre and Music Departments will present the musical "Godspell" at 8 p.m. April 24-27 in the H.C. Paul Theatre in the Alexander Fine Arts Center. The Fine Arts Center is located on Concord's main campus at 1000 Vermillion Street in Athens.

"Godspell" was conceived and originally directed by John-Michael Tebelak featuring music and new lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. It was originally produced on the New York stage by Edgar Lansbury, Stuart Duncan and Joseph Beruh. The musical is based on the Gospel of Matthew.

Concord University's 2013 production is directed by T. Gambill and Keely Rhodes.

Admission is free for Concord students with a validated student I.D. card. A $5 donation per ticket is requested when picking up tickets on the night of the performance from all others in attendance.
