West Virginia’s state symbols theme at State Museum April 27

The West Virginia State Museum continues its Sesquicentennial Saturday programs on April 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The theme for April 27 is "The History of West Virginia's State Symbols." Museum visitors will receive a commemorative token featuring the Golden Delicious apple.

The program takes place in the museum's Education Center and includes hands-on activities and a display of artifacts from the state collection. The documentary "The Moving Monument" will play in the media room throughout the day.

The Sesquicentennial Saturday program at the Culture Center on the State Capitol Complex is designed for all ages. It is free and open to the public.
