The Trusted Choice® Big “I” National Championship will make its first trip to West Virginia when Pete Dye Golf Club hosts the 46th annual junior golf event Aug. 5-8.

The 4th annual Harman's North Fork Invitational Fly Fishing event is set for May 3-4 in the Grant Count community of Cabins. West Virginia's Curtis Fleming, host of the popular ‘Fly Rod Chronicles' show, which airs on the Outdoor Channel, will be there with a film crew to document the competition.

This is the fourth year that Fleming has participated in the tournament.

The two-day fly-fishing tournament attracts anglers from across the country as 16 two-person teams compete against each other. The teams consist of professional guides from around the country.

"The Harman's North Fork Invitational Fly Fishing Tournament has become one of the most sought after fly fishing tournaments in the country," said Fleming.

Anglers gather at the North Fork of the South Branch of the Potomac River, right in the heart of the
Potomac Highlands. The river runs straight through the Harman's Luxury Log Cabins property, which is hosting the event.

The North Fork of the South branch is famous for its trophy rainbow trout, but anglers will also find
brown, brook, tiger and golden trout here.

"Fisherman visiting for the first time routinely comment about the surprising wealth of fishing
opportunities, wonderful communities and natural beauty in the region," said Fleming.

Hanna Weaver, executive director of the Grant County Convention and Visitor's Bureau, said it's a big event for the area.

"We're so excited to have Curtis and the film crew here to highlight the great fishing that Grant County has to offer. It's a really beautiful area, and we're glad that Fly Rod Chronicles TV is giving us the opportunity to share it with the world. It's a definite boost to the economy."

The event is open to the public to come watch anglers compete for $5,000 in cash and prizes.
