Two Pennsylvania Residents Killed in I-70 Crash

Two Pennsylvania residents were killed in an overnight accident on I-70 in Muskingum County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Tamara Carnes and Omar Lawson, both from the Pittsburgh area, were traveling in the westbound lane early Monday morning when their car hit the median, became airborne and overturned in the eastbound lanes.

One person was totally ejected and the other was partially ejected. Both people died from their injuries. I-70 was shut down for nearly three hours while crews cleaned up the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
