Wheeling Attorney Arrested on Multiple Charges

On Monday, Wheeling attorney Paul Harris will be arraigned in Harrison County, West Virginia on multiple charges.

Harris was arrested Friday night by the Sheriff's Department there. He was hired to represent Kevin Junkins, a former Shinnston police officer who was arrested in 2011.

Harris faces charges of felony conspiracy to commit threats in official and political matters, conspiracy to commit intimidation of a witness, obstruction of an officer and conspiracy to obstruct an officer.

A Wheeling attorney was arrested by the Harrison County Sheriff's Department on several charges.

Attorney Paul Harris is representing a former Shinnston police officer who was arrested in 2011.

They also arrested Barbour County private investigator Franklin Streets.

Harrison County Prosecuting Attorney Joe Shaffer said Harris was hired to represent Kevin Junkins, who was arrested on charges of possession, burglary, and embezzlement.

Shaffer said Harris faces charges of felony conspiracy to commit threats in official and political matters, conspiracy to commit intimidation of a witness, obstruction of an officer, and conspiracy to obstruct an officer.

Streets faces similar charges, including intimidation of a witness, threats in official and political matters, obstruction of an officer and conspiracy.

Harris released this statement about his arrest Saturday night:
