MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) — Martinsburg city workers will be eligible for tuition discounts for classes at Shepherd University's new Martinsburg Center.

The center is scheduled to open in July.

The Journal reports that Mayor George Karos and Shepherd President Susanne Shipley signed an agreement Friday that allows city workers to get the discounts for classes that benefit the city.

Under the agreement, Shepherd can market its classes to city employees.
