Marshall County Man Accused of Threatening President Pleads Not Guilty

A Marshall County man indicted for threatening to harm the president has pleaded not guilty to the charges. 

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld says 20-year-old Ryan Kirker, of McMechen, has been charged by an Elkins grand jury with the felony offense of "threats against the president."

According to the indictment, in April of 2013, Kirker knowingly placed a letter in the mail threatening to take the life of, or inflict bodily harm, against the president.

If convicted, he faces up to five years in jail and a fine of $250,000.
