The sheriff said it is happening in the middle of the night at sites along Burch Ridge.
Sheriff Cecil told WTRF that the problem is not just the objects disappearing, and the cost to replace them, but the safety hazard that arises when backup batteries are stolen from the pads.
Cecil said thieves also broke into a mobile office on the site, and took anything they could find, including laptops, flashlights, and a helmet.
Sheriff Cecil said the gas companies are footing the bill to replace all of the stolen items.
The Sheriff's Department is currently following up on leads, working to find the thieves and put a stop to these incidents.
According to authorities, whoever is responsible could be facing felony charges.
