Skeletal remains found by hikers in April on a property on Stone and Shannon Road have been revealed to be those of an apparent murder victim.
Authorities say the victim, David Bazo, who was born and raised in Wheeling, would have been 50 years old this year. Bazo had moved from the area and was living in Florida, but was in the area in August of 2011 visiting his parents. He was never reported missing.

Skeletal remains found just months ago in Ohio County will be making a road trip to Washington, D.C. to the Smithsonian for analysis.
The remains were found by hikers in April on property on Stone and Shannon Road. Forensic anthropologists hope to find out who the person was and how they died. The Ohio County Sheriff believes it's the first time the department has ever sent skeletal remains to the Smithsonian.
