24 teams have been contacted and told not to come for the Beast of the East Tournament after five Moundsville fields were shut down by the Health Department after Monday night's flooding.
Co-director Bo McConnaughy says the teams will have their fee refunded.
The Beast of the East baseball tournament could lose more than 100 games if they can not find alternative fields after the Marshall County health department shut down five fields in Moundsville.
The health department ruled the fields unplayable due to debris and standing water, from Monday's storms.
Beast Co-Director Bo McConnaughy says they are looking for alternative fields but if they can not find any it may force more than 1,500 people to stay away from the valley for the four day event.
McConnaughy hopes to talk with the health department early Wednesday and if need be inform the teams as soon as possible not to travel.
