Bethesda to Honor Police Chief With Monument

Posted: Updated:

Last summer, the Village of Bethesda lost their beloved Police Chief Tim Zdansky to a series of heart attacks.

This weekend, a monument in his memory will be dedicated outside the municipal building. Residents say it's fitting and appropriate to hold the dedication during Chautauqua Days, the festival that's been a village tradition for 120 years. The public is invited to the dedication, at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Zdansky was also the founder of the SPII Task Force, which has taken many sexual predators off the streets. He was also a professional photographer.
