Wheeling Park's Grove Selected to Play in All-Star Baseball Game

Wheeling Park High School rising baseball star Michael Grove has been selected to play in an elite all-star game.

Grove, 16, a junior at Wheeling Park, is one of 64 of the best players representing their state and club teams, and plays shortstop for his travel team SportsZone Baseball out of Monaca, Pa.

The North vs. South All-Star Game is being held in conjunction with The Triple Crown U.S. National Championships in Richmond, Va. on Monday, July 22.  The game will be shown live on CBS Sports Network from RF&P Park at 6 :30 p.m.

Grove batted .385 for Wheeling Park this past spring with 26 RBI and five doubles. He was also 6-2 on the mound with 24 strikeouts. With SportsZons, Grove is hitting nearly .400 with a triple and five doubles
