Threat Charges Dropped, Area Man Still Faces Trespassing, Obstructing Charges
The trial date has been set for a man facing charges of trespassing and obstructing an officer.
Mohan Ahuja will stand trial on August 26 in Hancock County. Ahuja requested that his bond could be taken off for the trespassing charge, and the judge allowed it to be reduced to $500.
Mohan also asked if bond could be reduced for his obstructing charge - but the judge left that bond as is.
Ahuja was arrested in Weirton on July 3 when police received a report of a suspicious person. When police arrived, they said Ahuja told them he had explosives in his vehicle. A search revealed no explosives. Ahuja was charged with the felony charge of making a terroristic threat. This charge was dropped on July 12, but the charges of trespassing and obstructing an officer remained.
