A 16-year-old suspect in the stabbing death of another teen in Steubenville on Thursday night turned himself into police on Friday morning.
The victim of the crime was 17 years old. Further details released Friday morning by police indicate the victim's body was found in an alley.
Although the suspect turned himself in, police say they had an idea of who did it from the start.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, the Jefferson County coroner and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation were on the scene throughout the morning.
Authorities in Steubenville are investigating after a juvenile was stabbed to death on Thursday night.
Police said the stabbing happened around 11 p.m. in the Pleasant Heights area of the city at the corner of Orchard and Union Streets. Investigators remain at the crime scene Friday morning, looking for pieces of evidence.
