Traffic a Concern as New School Year Begins

Posted: Updated:

Students across the valley are heading back to school over the coming weeks, and with the school year comes an increase in traffic.

So, education leaders are asking everyone to be extra careful. The West Virginia State Department of education is asking drivers to pay attention to school buses that flash their warning lights when picking up or dropping off students.

Drivers who ignore the lights can face up to six months of jail time if convicted.
