People will get a "sneak preview" of music from the West Virginia Music Hall of Fame's 2013 inductees at an Aug. 17 event at Tamarack.

This year's inductees are Melvin & Ray Goins, Peter Marshall, Wayne Moss, Tim O'Brien, The Swan Silvertones, Ada "Bricktop" Smith and Eleanor Steber, according to a news release from the West Virginia Music Hall of Fame

The event, which will be held at 7 p.m. at Tamarack's Hulett C. Smith Theater, will offer a preview of biographical vignettes produced for the Hall of Fame's fifth induction ceremony. Tickets are $4.

Everett Alan Lilly & Friends, Susanna Robinson, John Lilly, Emily Hopkins, Mark Bates, and The Carpenter Ants will gather at Tamarack to perform music associated with this year's inductees.

The induction ceremony will take place at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at Charleston's Culture Center Theater.

"We wanted to give people in the Beckley area a bit of a ‘sneak preview' of what they will see and hear at our induction ceremony in November," Michael Lipton, hall of fame director, said in the news release. "Once again, the various styles showcase the breadth of American music and the stories associated with this year's inductees are rich and compelling."
