It's loud, fun and fast, and this Saturday it all gets under way at Wheeling's Heritage Port.
On Tuesday night, the final details were ironed out at Easter Seals on National Road for this weekend's Wheeling Vintage Raceboat Regatta. The bands and the boats will both be ready to roll early in the day.
Regatta Board President Debbie Joseph says, if you're a parent and looking for something cheap and fun for the whole family, this is the event for you. "It really is an environment for families. The kids are going to love it, they'll be able to go down in the pits and get pictures and autographs with the racers. The best part is, its all free," added Joseph.
The proceeds from funds raised at the Regatta go directly to Easter Seals, an organization dedicated to helping the lives of disabled children here in the Ohio Valley, so make sure you get your weekend plans set early and stop down.
