A lot of dirty work has gone into renovating the Capitol Theatre in downtown Wheeling and now it's almost complete.
Renovations began June 17, but a lot of work still has to be completed in time for the symphony show on September 28. Executive Director at WesBanco Arena and Capitol Theatre, Denny Magruder, is confident that they will have it done by then. Right now, the seats need to be mounted, the theater fully carpeted, wall coverings and sound completed, and the aisle and lobby lighting needs to be finished. Magruder believes residents will truly be happy with the finished project.
Meanwhile, WesBanco Arena and the Capitol Theatre announced on Tuesday that they have partnered with Etix for a full range of ticketing, distribution and digital marketing services.
"We're excited to take control of our brand through our partnership with Etix," said Magruder. "This shift provides countless benefits and value for our guests and our presenters. We considered several options, and selected Etix based on their unique ability to provide time-tested technology with good old fashioned customer service."
According to a press release issued on Tuesday, Etix's ticket purchase process will allow fans to easily purchase tickets directly from WesBanco and Capitol Theatre websites and through toll-free telephone number.
Founded in 2000, Etix is web-based ticketing service provider for the entertainment, travel and sports industries, processing over 50 million tickets per year in 40 countries. It is the largest independent ticketing company in North America.
