The Bishop Donahue Bishops used a third-string quarterback, and on a rainy afternoon, still managed to defeated the St.John Central Fighting Irish by the score of 26-6 at the Irish Youth Sports Complex.

Bishop Donahue junior running back Matt Vucilek ran for 115 yards and scored three touchdowns, and Hunter Kaschke completed a 24-yard scoring strike to Jared Yates in the win.

Bishop Donahue, bounced back from its first loss of the season at Clay-Battelle last Friday, but starting quarterback Jesse Padlow (ribs) and back-up Lavonte Hampton (ankle) were injured in that game, and did not play today. No word on if they'll be ready for next Saturday's trip to Clarksburg Notre Dame.

The Irish (0-4) trailed 20-0 at the half, and 26-0 late in the fourth quarter, when quarterback Dario Paolina connect with Kyle Wharton for a 34-yard touchdown.
