The Steubenville Catholic Central Crusaders blanked the winless Oak Glen Golden Bears with a 48-0 victory on Saturday afternoon at Harding Stadium.
With the win, the high-powered Crusaders moved to 5-0 on the season, and posted the first shutout since 2009.
Oak Glen (0-5) was shut out for the second time this season, after John Marshall kept them off the scoreboard last week 36-0.
Central senior quarterback Brenton Colabella completed 12-of-14 passes for 162 yards and three touchdowns. He also added a rushing touchdown.
The Crusaders will host Conotton-Valley (1-4) next Saturday.
In Wheeling, Linsly defeated Allderdice 26-7, behind a pair of touchdowns from Chimechi Oparanozie. The junior running scored a third quarter touchdown on a 15-yard run, a few minutes after he returned the third-quarter kickoff 85 yards for a score. Senior quarterback Jameson Murray ran for a score and threw a 61-yard touchdown pass, on a flea-flicker to Zak Kriechbaum. The Cadets improve to 3-2 on the season.
And in Bellaire, Clay-Battelle sprinted out to a 40-0 lead, and were never challenged, in a 40-6 victory over winless St.Johns Central (0-5) at the Irish Youth Sports Complex.
The Irish visit Toronto (2-3) next Friday night.
The Cee Bees, now 4-0 on the season, will host Valley(Wetzel) next Friday night.
