The Ohio State Highway Patrol seized crack, heroin, prescription pills and marijuana during a recent DUI arrest in Steubenville.
Troopers stopped a 1990 Ford Ranger with Ohio registration for a turn signal violation in the city of Steubenville in Jefferson County at 12:37 a.m., on Friday, October 4. The driver, Gregory S. Bates, 39, of Rayland, was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving under suspension.
While speaking with the passenger, Duan E. Harris, 28, of Steubenville, he produced a backpack containing 25 baggies of crack-cocaine and heroin; five grams of marijuana and five ecstasy pills. The drugs have a street value of $800.
Harris was charged with aggravated trafficking and two-counts of trafficking drugs, all fourth-degree felonies.
