FIRST ON WTRF.COM: Twelve People Indicted on Ohio Valley Gun, Drug Charges

The Ohio Valley Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force said twelve people have been indicted on a total of 75 federal drug and gun charges.

Authorities said some of the people were taken into custody Wednesday.

Multiple investigations done this spring and summer led to the return of indictments against local residents Clarence E. Bertram, 21 of Wheeling, Dale A Davis,36 of Wheeling, Jerome M. Ross, 22 of Wheeling, Devon Bertram, 23, of Wheeling, Sylvester Walker, 21 of Wheeling, Nicole Marie Gust, 20 of Bellaire, Charles Wilkes, 28 of Wheeling, Stedmond Creech, 24 of Steubenville, Javon Scott, 28 of Wellsburg, Emanuel ''Sammy'' Banks, 40, of Wheeling, Gary ''Moe'' Wade, 39, of Wheeling.

Also indicted was Jewan S. Kyle of Cleveland.

The cases will be prosecuted by U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II, and Assistant U.S. Attorneys Randolph Bernard and Stephen Vogrin.

The Ohio Valley Drug Task Force investigated each of the drug trafficking offenses announced on Wednesday. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated each of the firearm offenses.
