Cabell County, WV Hit Hard by Storms
The roof and side wall of a Huntington business fell in Friday morning as strong winds moved through the region.
Neighborgall Construction is located on 7th Ave. in Huntington, WV. Employees are there going through the debris to move anything that was not damaged by the storm. The collapse happened just after 3 a.m. Friday morning.
Owner C.R. Neighborgall said it could be weeks before the damage is completely fixed.
"We just have to go on. We have to clean up the mess and build it back, and stay in business. It's just what we do," he said.
Trees and power lines are down all across Cabell County, including at 8th Street and 13th Avenue. There, a huge tree snapped in half and fell onto power lines and a set of traffic lights.
Several roads in Huntington are littered with debris. Dispatchers are urging drivers to use caution on the roads.
There are also traffic lights which are out in parts of Huntington. Treat these intersections as a 4-way stop.
