HUNTINGTON, WV -

Two new lawyers have joined the law firm of Huddleston Bolen. 

Lauren Hutchins is now part of the firm's Litigation Department while Byron Collier has joined the firm's Business Law Department.

Hutchins is an associate in the firm's Litigation Department where she represents transportation companies, retailers and other industrial companies in matters such as premises liability, personal injury and employment law. 

Earlier this year, she earned her law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law, where she was a W.E.B. DuBois Fellow. While in law school, she served as treasurer of the Women's Leadership Council and as academic chairwoman for WVU's chapter of the Black Law Students Association. 

She holds a dual degree in psychology from Marshall University, where she graduated magna cum laude, and the University of Debrecen, in Debrecen, Hungary. 

While at Marshall, she studied at the University of Antonio de Nebrija in Madrid, Spain, and England's Oxford University. She also was a member of Marshall's Society of Yeager Scholars. While at the University of Debrecen, she also studied at the Warsaw School of Social Sciences and Humanities.

During law school, she served as a summer clerk at Huddleston Bolen and worked in the legal division of the West Virginia Department of Transportation.

Collier is an associate in the firm's Business Law Department where he represents clients in estate planning, commercial real estate, healthcare and banking matters.

He graduated from the West Virginia University College of Law in 2013. In law school he received Cali awards in federal income taxation, estate planning and appellate advocacy. 

He also received the Thomas N. Chambers Award in Taxation from the West Virginia Tax Institute. In 2009, he graduated summa cum laude from Marshall University with a bachelor's degree in finance and economics.

During law school, he served as a summer clerk at Huddleston Bolen. Prior to law school, he served as a legislative liaison for West Virginia Secretary of State Natalie Tennant, took part in the College FED Challenge and worked as an intern in the office of U.S. Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va.
