Some former West Virginia University football stars were in Ritchie County Thursday to help fight childhood obesity.
Hall of fame coach Don Nehlen joined Aaron Beasley and Jimmy Gary to teach kids the importance of an active and healthy lifestyle.
The Mountaineers are teaming up with 'nPlay Foundation for a statewide initiative after West Virginia was named the most obese state for three straight years.
"West Virginia has a real problem with obese kids and obese population. We lead the nation in obesity and they are really concerned about how to keep our kids healthy," Nehlen said.
They were there as part of the 'nPlay Foundation, a coalition of 40 professional athletes representing 17 sports, united to fight childhood obesity.
