Activities and achievements: Set to graduate in the top five of her class, McKenna is president of the National Honor Society, a member of Model UN, as well as the physics club, and she is a mentor for at-risk freshmen in the College Summit program. She attended Rhododendron Girls State and the Governor's Honors Academy. She has volunteered at the Beckley Youth Museum, the Raleigh County library, the Raleigh County Animal Shelter and the teen court program. She worked as a page in the West Virginia House of Delegates and represents the student body on the Local School Improvement Council. 

Plans: McKenna would like to enroll in the Honors College at West Virginia University. She plans to major in biology and hopes to study abroad in Hong Kong. She then plans to attend medical school and specialize in cardiothoracic surgery.
