A major mishap occurred in Marshall County on Thursday evening after a large piece of equipment fell onto the roadway.
A tractor trailer hauling a large piece of equipment, that authorities say may be used in the natural gas industry, overturned, blocking the roadway.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Department, U.S. 250 re-opened on Thursday night after the accident, but Fork Ridge Road remains closed from U.S. 250 to Gosney Hill Road. Fork Ridge Road is not expected to re-open until sometime Friday, possibly as late as 5 p.m.
Lane closures will occur intermittently along U.S. 250 throughout the day as crews attempt to move the equipment.
