A Rayland woman says she was shocked after finding a pill inside a sandwich she purchased at a gas station last Sunday.
Brittney Williams said she doesn't go to the gas station regularly, so she knows that she was not specifically targeted with food tampering, but even as a random incident, she says it's still very disturbing.
The incident started after Williams purchased the sandwich at the Marathon station in Tiltonsville.
She says when she warmed it in the microwave a small round pill rolled out of the sandwich.
"The breakfast sandwich was just your basic bacon, egg and cheese muffin. The pill, it was a little white round pill and it said 100 on it. I took it to the police station. They took a bunch of pictures of it. They confiscated my sandwich as evidence. They've sent the pill away," Williams told WTRF.com.
She says she hasn't heard back from the police.
Officials from the gas station refused to go on camera or discuss the pill in question.
