A Columbus man has admitted to conspiring to distribute heroin and oxycodone in the Huntington area, U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin reports.

Antoine Walker, 27, faces up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to the federal drug charge Jan. 13 in U.S. District Court in Huntington.

Walker was taken into custody Aug. 7 following a traffic stop initiated by the Ohio Highway Patrol. Officers found roughly 300 grams of heroin and 498 oxycodone pills in his vehicle, Goodwin said.

Walker told police he was en route to Huntington and intended to deliver the heroin and oxycodone to an associate.

His sentencing is set for April 14 before Chief U.S. District Judge Robert C. Chambers in Huntington.
