West Virginia State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigations Dive Team is continuing the investigation into the Joshua Oberg case.

Oberg was reported missing in January 2012. Robert Eugene Siron, III, 31, of Weston pleaded guilty in connection to the murder of Oberg in Dec. 2013. Siron said he and Jesse Heater buried Oberg at a specific location in Upshur County, after killing him as part of a planned attack, according to the criminal complaint. On July 23, a body believed to be Oberg was found at a clandestine grave at that location. Heater's trial for the first degree murder of Oberg is schedule to begin Feb. 18, 2014.  Rodolpho Villagomez Correa also faces a murder charge in Oberg's death.

The FBI Dive Team and State Police are searching the West Fork River in the Jackson's Mill area of Lewis County.  Investigators are looking for items of evidentiary value to further the investigation into the Oberg case, said West Virginia State Police Cpl. M.S. Clark.  Investigators will be on the scene searching for a few days, said Cpl. Clark.

Senior Trooper Moss of the State Police detachment, in Upshur County, is leading the investigation.
