Suspect Facing Felony Murder Charges in Connection with WJU Student's Death
One of the men charged in the death of Wheeling Jesuit University (WJU) student Kevin Figaniak has been indicted by the Ohio County Grand Jury. The other suspect is facing lesser charges.
Jurors returned an indictment against Craig Peacock, 22, of Florida who is now facing felony murder charges. Peacock was arrested on Sept. 3 in connection with Figaniak's death.
Figaniak died one day after getting into a fight on the corner of National Road and Locust Avenue with Peacock and co-defendant Jarret Chandler. Chandler was not indicted by the grand jury, but instead was charged with a misdemeanor.
