A wind chill advisory expires at 10 a.m. Friday for the Ohio Valley, while a winter weather advisory goes in effect late Friday night and lasts until the end of the day on Saturday.
Wind chills have already been recorded as low as -19 as of Friday morning as temperatures dropped to -3.
Snow is expected to move in early Saturday with wind gusts up to 30 mph at times. Blowing snow and accumulations between 2-4 inches can be expected by the end of Saturday.
A brief warm-up this weekend as temperatures rise into the mid 20s, however, temperatures will return to the teens as next week begins.
