Another round of weekend snow left the streets of Shadyside a mess, and on Monday morning, people living in the village were asked to move their ca so crews could get through and plow the roadways.
Officially, it's being called a "state of snow emergency," but in real terms, it meant people on certain designated streets had to move their cars. The rule, which has been on the books since 2002, is well known to residents and was enforced around 10 a.m. and was expected to last until mid-afternoon. Shadyside's mayor said they don't like to enforce the rule very often as they know it is an inconvenience.
On a brighter note, very little snow is expected in the village in the upcoming week.
