Wheeling Jesuit University celebrated the opening of their brand new physical therapy clinic in downtown Wheeling on Wednesday.
The clinic is part of the university's doctorate of physical therapy program that has already bridged from the campus location on Washington Avenue in the hopes of helping to revamp the downtown area. Carrie Abraham, of the WJU Physical Therapy department, said the clinic is just another way for students to connect with the community. She said, "This clinic is one of many our students have to provide a service to the community. We have multiple partners and we run a service learning course through the fall and spring semesters where our students help our partners. This is one and happens to be a brand new facility."
The clinic is located on the upper floors of the Stone Center, just above Williams Lea, in Wheeling.
