No.2 seed Wheeling Central won the Wheeling Hospital/OVAC Boys Basketball 2A Championship Game with a thrilling 69-65 victory over the top seed Wellsville.
Wheeling Central's David Park and Chase Harler scored 19 of the team's 20 points in the fourth quarter, each finishing the game with 24 points. Senior post Alonzo Manns scored 10 of his 15 points in the first half, as the Maroon Knights (16-3) took a 33-31 advantage to the locker rooms.
Wellsville led after three quarters 52-49.
Senior Nate Scott led the Tigers (18-2) with 25 points, classmate Jordan Sloan added 16.
