Police Say Remains Found at Western Pa. Gas Well Site

DILLNER, Pa. (AP) - Pennsylvania State Police say they've recovered what appear to be the remains of a contractor who was working at a natural gas well pad when it caught fire.

Authorities identified the man as 27-year-old Ian McKee, a field service technician for Houston-based Cameron International.

Cameron representative Stefan Radwanski says McKee, originally from Warren, Pennsylvania, lived most recently in Morgantown, West Virginia and left behind a fiance who is pregnant with his child.

The remains have been taken to the Greene County coroner's office for positive identification.

Chevron says the fires at the well are out, but the situation remains serious and teams are working around the clock to shut the well. The company still doesn't know what caused the fire, which happened about 50 miles south of Pittsburgh.
