Wheeling Man Arrested for Wanton Endangerment, Allegedly Fired Shots Inside Home
A Wheeling man has been charged with wanton endangerment and being a felon in possession of a firearm after an incident on Wednesday night in Wheeling.
Donald Ellis was arrested after Wheeling Police responded to a battery call. Police said that when they entered the home, they found Ellis sitting on a bed with a gun to his chin. Ellis eventually handed the gun over and was arrested.
Police then discovered that Ellis had fired a round in the downstairs living room.
He was taken into custody and transferred to the Northern Regional jail pending his arraignment.
