The Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack welcomed the spring season at the United Way's 'Night at the Races' on Friday, March 14.
Major sponsors for the evening included WTRF, Wheeling Island Hotel Casino Racetrack and Pepsi.
The evening had plenty of delicious food and racing entertainment, with a menu that included carved prime rib, a pasta station with a selection of pasta, sauces and toppings, salads, stuffed tilapia, chicken mars ala, vegetables and an assortment of desserts.

A new feature this year is a Carnival Overnighter was also offered by the J. M. Chambers YMCA for parents with children ages K-6th Grade. The event was free to parents holding Night at the Races tickets and provides an overnight stay for children with pizza, snacks, swimming, a movie, inflatable's and supervised fun. The event was sponsored by J.K. Tank Rentals.
