The Steubenville rape case story may be headed to the big screen.
Published reports indicate Brad Pitt's production company Plan B Entertainment has bought the rights to a Rolling Stone feature called "Anonymous vs. Steubenville," covering the case, with plans to turn the piece into a movie.
Trent Mays and Ma'Lik Richmond were found guilty of the rape of a 16-year-old girl in March of 2013. The case gained national attention after the group Anonymous became involved, sparking protests outside the trial as well as the Jefferson County Courthouse.
7 News made a phone call to Plan B Entertainment seeking comment, which was not immediately returned.
