Lincoln County WV father and son admit to dealing oxycodone

Posted: Updated:
An elderly Lincoln County resident and his 23-year-old son each face up to 20 years in federal prison after admitting they sold oxycodone in the Branchland community.
Ronnie Dale Norman Sr., 67, and his son, Ronnie Dale Norman Jr., both of Branchland, West Virginia pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Charleston to distribution of oxycodone.
The elder Norman admitted he sold oxycodone to a police informant in January 2012 at his home in Lincoln County. In September 2012 detectives made another controlled buy from the residence, but this time Norman Sr. handed the pills to his son, who then gave them to the informant in exchange for cash. Norman Jr. then handed the buy money to his father, Goodwin said.
The two are set for sentencing Aug. 13.
The Huntington Violent Crime and Drug Task Force is in charge of  the investigation.
