CHARLESTON, WV -

Just announced as a special summer event co-presented by the Clay Center and Appalachian Power Park, folk rock band Old Crow Medicine Show will return to Charleston on July 26.

With opening acts Qiet and others still to be determined, the band will headline a summer night of performances at Appalachian Power Park. Gates will open at 4 p.m.

Best known for their infectious anthem “Wagon Wheel,” these folk rockers blend together traditional Appalachian string music with bluegrass and alt-country for a toe-tapping show full of boundless energy, spirit and personality. You’ll be hooked on the inventive way they spin traditional and new songs with spontaneity on banjo, harmonica, stand-up bass and more.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. May 21.

This performance is sponsored by the City of Charleston and the Charleston Convention & Visitors Bureau. General admission tickets are $45 in advance or $50 on the day of the show. Purchase online at www.theclaycenter.org, in person at the Clay Center box office or by phone at 304-561-3570.
