Tornado Siren Being Tested in St. Clairsville on Wednesday
As tornadoes continue to cause mass destruction across the country, one local county will take part in bringing severe weather awareness to the community by testing their tornado siren on Wednesday morning.
Belmont County will test the siren, located in St. Clairsville, beginning Wednesday morning between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. Residents will hear the siren for three to five minutes and are advised to not not be alarmed when the test begins.
The Emergency Management Agency said they want people to be aware that disasters such as deadly storms and chemical spills can happen locally, and they want residents to be prepared.
