1,000 People Escort American Veterans' Traveling Tribute Wall to Barnesville

BARNESVILLE, Ohio - The American Veterans' Traveling Tribute Wall has arrived at  Memorial Park in Barnesville.

About 1,000 motorcyclists, the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Belmont County Sheriff's Office helped to escort the wall from St. Clairsville to Barnesville, beginning around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, and reached their destination shortly after 6 p.m.

Residents are invited to visit the wall beginning at noon Thursday. An honor ride will also take place on Sunday, with staging beginning at 12:30 p.m., at Barnesville High School, and the ride beginning at 1:30 p.m. Anyone with questions about the ride can contact Tracey Guy at 740-238-0302 or Jeff Warner at 740-238-0303.

The wall will remain in the park, located at 130 Fair Street in Barnesville, until Sunday at 3 p.m.
