CHARLESTON, WV -

Leap back to the roaring ‘20s when Big Bad Voodoo Daddy takes the Clay Center stage at 7:30 p.m. May 15 in Charleston.

This high-energy, seven-piece ensemble will prove that it’s still cool to swing, big band style, as they play music from their latest album at this stop on their “Rattle Them Bones 20th Anniversary Tour.” Plus, hear the hits that helped usher in the swing revival, like “You & Me and the Bottle Makes Three (Tonight),” “Go Daddy-O” and “I Wanna Be Like You.”

Founded on a colorful fusion of classic American sounds including jazz, swing and Dixieland mixed with the energy and spirit of contemporary culture, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy has stayed true to its unique style through two decades of touring and recording. With saxophones, trumpets, trombones and clarinets, its big-band sound will have audiences ready for night of dancing out on the town.

This performance is part of the Clay Center Presents Spring 2014 season sponsored by Huntington Bank and Frost Brown Todd LLC.

Tickets for Big Bad Voodoo Daddy are $15, $25 and $35 and can be purchased online at theclaycenter.org, in person at the Clay Center box office or by phone at 304-561-3570.
