Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Relay for Life in Saturday Basketball Blowout

Posted: Updated:
With Summer camp still three months away, many of the Pittsburgh Steelers have done a number things to stay in shape, one of them is trading in the football spikes for the basketball shoes.

On Saturday night the Steelers Footballers Basketball Team will once again be tipping off at Wheeling Park High School for the 5th consecutive year.

The action packed game is once again sponsored by Relay for Life, and the competition is pretty fierce.

Relay Head Coach and local basketball legend Mike Jebbia says the Black and Gold will have to bring their 'A' game.

"This game is a blast! Of course our team plays tough, we've won it three out of the last four years. Its a huge credit to Fawn Thomas who puts this together every year. This game has really gotten better and better, " added Jebbia.

Wheeling Park student Michael Carroll, the inventor of Michael's Meanies, will also be an honorary referee.

WTRF anchor Nate Fluharty will also be playing as well.

Tip off is set for Saturday at Wheeling Park High School at 8pm.

Great tickets are still available.
