Locals Battle Steelers in Basketball Game to Benefit Cancer Research

Posted: Updated:
Saturday night at Wheeling Park High School there was a great game for a great cause.

The Pittsburgh Steelers were in town to take on some area residents in a game of basketball.

All proceeds from the game go to Relay for Life. This is the fifth year for the game and the Wheeling team has won 3 out of the last 4.

Our own 7 News Anchor Nate Fluharty took part in Saturday's game, and his skills didn't look too bad on the court.

Coach Mike Jebbia told 7 News yesterday that the Black and Gold would have to bring their "A" game, but that wasn't enough this year.

The Wheeling Relay for Life Team came out victorious tonight with final score: 59 to 58.

WTRF is a proud sponsor of the event.
