Another Superload Delivered To Marshall County Friday

Posted: Updated:
Another superload brought traffic to a standstill Friday.

The superload was being delivered to Williams Energy's plant near Cameron.

The cargo was lighter than the first superload delivered to the valley, so it was able to be delivered on a tractor trailer which meant it could move faster through Marshall County without tying up two lanes of the highway.

This was the second or third time the superload had changed travel plans for some drivers.

"We had one last site left, figured we were going to finish up a hair early today and we're stuck here so it doesn't look like we're going to get done like we thought. The first one that got hung up on the turn, it shut traffic down for a long time, it was pretty inconvenient but what are you going to do?" Jared Dunn said.

The superload began its journey on Friday at 9:00 a.m. at the Benwood CSX rail yard and reached William's Oak Grove Facility around 4:00 p.m.

All of the routes in Marshall County are now clear.
