St.Clairsville High School senior Jaylon Brown won a pair of silver medals at the annual Ohio state track meet at Jesse Owens Stadium in Columbus.
Brown finished second in the 100 and 200. He also anchored the Red Devils' 4x1 relay team to a fourth place finish and finished ninth in the long jump. The Red Devil boys finished in a tie for sixth place overall in the Division II standings. Sreetsboro freshman Dakari Carter won the 100 with a time of 10.83, Brown was 10.90, and Ohio State football recruit Parris Campbell of Akron St.Vincent St.Marys was third at 10.96. In the 200, Brown ran 21.88, and was a breath behind Marquee Montgomery of Benedictine who win the gold with a time of 21.77.
The area's lone state champion is Cambridge junior hurdler Errik Snell, who won the 110m hurdles in a time of 14.04 seconds. He finished second last year as a sophomore.
Indian Creek's Whitney Martin was fourth in the 100m dash with a time of 12.45. Michaela Butler of Liberty Benton was the winner at 12.15.
St.Johns distance ace Fallon Doyle finished fourth in the 1600 with a time of 5:11.27
River's Abby Caldwell finished sixth in the 300LH in a time of 45.30 and is All-Ohio as a sophomore.
